Virtually Walk From Caesars Palace To Rio And Beyond

Geoff brought plenty of walking footage from his December Vegas trip. One of the treks he made was the walk from Caesars Palace to Rio. He then continued on to Gold Coast and the Palms (aka the Psalms). The round trip walk comes in at just short of 3 miles, but to hear him tell the story, you would have thought he walked 50.

Strip Walking has added the walk from Caesars Palace to Rio, Gold Coast, and the Palms on Vegas.StripWalking.com

However, because of Geoff’s efforts, Strip Walking is pleased to announce that these routes have been added to our Vegas walking map at Vegas.StripWalking.com. At 20 minutes and just over a mile, it’s really not as long a hike as one might think to get to the Rio from Caesars. There are plenty of longer trips people take up and down the strip every day. For example, walking from NYNY to Caesars Palace is about the same distance and time. Or hoofing it from the Wynn down to Cromwell is going to take you every bit of 20 minutes and not include the beautiful views of I-15.

Of course, the walk to Rio is a little… uhhhhh… quieter than walking on the strip. We are not sure we would feel all that safe making the walk at night alone. During the day, though, it was fairly quick and painless. Once you make it to Rio, Gold Coast is just breezy 8 minute walk down W Flamingo Road and then from Gold Coast you can be at Palms quicker than a “street performer” can hustle you out of $40.

The Rio/Gold Coast/Palms loop represents Strip Walking’s longest venture east or west of Las Vegas Blvd to date, but look for more routes off the beaten path coming in the future. Can you walk to the convention center from LV Blvd? You bet! How about the Sphere? Of course. Westgate? Duh. Harry Reid International Airport? Hmmmmm…….

Downtown Vegas is still coming to Strip Walking too! We have shot the video, still waiting on my lazy ass to edit it and get it on the website! Until then, happy walking down west Flamingo Road! And don’t forget, there are thousands and thousands of potential virtual walking routes on Vegas.StripWalking.com, a completely free website. Be sure to check it out.
